He didn't get you 3 Super Bowls. I really don't need this kind of angst and I have tried to let it go. This BS, though, is too much.

I had a feeling he'd start doing shit like this in his last few years given how petty and arrogant he is. For lack of a better term I think he's going to try to whitewash his history with the Cowboys by adding marginal guys like Elliott and Romo (maybe Diggs) into the ROH, on top of obvious guys like Ware, Witten, Martin, Tyron and eventually Parsons.

It'll be his way of trying to cement his legacy with the Cowboys as a positive one before he dies because most fans in 2040 or whatever won't know how bullshit several of his ROH additions were compared to ones from before his era of ownership.

Of course. The Stadium is, as Randy Galloway used to say, Jerry's massive Monument to Himself.

And as he loves pointing out, the ROH is decided upon by a committee of one. That "one" is going to induct his favorites, the ones who did the most for him. I'm convinced he only put a few of the old-timers in because he knew he'd get tremendous heat if they weren't in when he inducted his favorite players.

you'd think he'd hold a grudge after getting raped by Zeke and his agent

I wouldn't put Romo in the "marginal" category.

Meh, he has a bunch of team records but that's more a reflection of the nature of the game changing and revolving more around the passing game. To me the standard for the ROH should be higher, and historically it has been only elite players who are at least borderline HOF caliber, or who played important roles in making/winning Super Bowls.

Dak might break all of Romo's records, should he go in the ROH too?

I'd argue no unless he gets us to at least a Super Bowl appearance.

While Romo did have his fair share of drive/game-killing errors, he also won some games that they should have lost, a few were when he could barely walk or breathe.

When you say marginal I think of Danny White, and I was a huge Danny White mark back in the day.

I wouldn't put Romo and White together by any measure.

The passing records I really don't care about whether Prescott breaks them. I put Romo on a different level than Prescott so far in his career. I agree that Prescott really needs to put a ring on everyone's finger before he goes in the ring.
