Calling the Panthers for who?Agreed. I expect that to change with Cooks back, but Gallup is troubling. I might be calling the Panthers for day 2 pick, say, a third rounder.

To take Gallup?Calling the Panthers for who?
Same here. When they beat the Bills, all I heard was they were a good team. Obviously, if you lose to Dallas you're shit though.Wait. So now the Jets were shitbags? Hell, I thought just last week they were thought to be a good team. Strong defense, strong running team, etc...

Yeah, that narrative is so tiresome. It does not matter where it is. TV, radio, the fucking street, or whatever... I guarantee that is the prevailing thought from opposing fans.Same here. I guarantee, the week rolling into the niners game the consensus will be that Dallas will get rolled because 'They finally faced a real team'.
But if the Cowboys win this game? It will not be because the Cowboys are also a good team. There will be some major reason why this fluke happened. The refs were in Dallas' pocket. Vegas gamblers had the fix in. The entire niners team had come down with AIDS and were weak from treatment. Or whatever.

It's the same mindset from the 90's when opposing fans would say Emmitt isn't good, it's the OL and Aikman/Irvin, Aikman isn't good, it's Emmitt and the OL, etc.

Yeah, that's my favorite one of them all.
It's funny how all of the Cowboys detractors thought each and every one of those players was overrated right?
But what's funny is, when they judge each player individually, they'll talk about how fortunate they were to have one another.
"Troy had Emmitt and the running game"
"Emmitt had the O-line and all those weapons on the outside"
"Michael Irvin wasn't a real #1"
Ah, I see. So they weren't really all that good but yet at the same time they all benefited from one another? To the tune of 3 Super Bowls?
Makes total sense.
