It's still bad luck.

I don't believe in bad luck, but they're probably bad luck.

Rationally, they've worn them almost exclusively in road games, and usually in the past against rivals like the Redskins who are trying to psyche us out. Those are situations where your likelihood of losing goes up so that probably explains it for the most part.

Has anyone ever put together the W-L record for the blue jerseys?

This mostly focuses on the playoffs, but in the playoffs it hasn't been good until we beat TB this past year.

-------------

The Cowboys have an infamous record of futility in their blue jerseys — especially in the playoffs — that goes back several decades. Monday marked just the eighth playoff game ever where the Cowboys wore that jersey color, and Dallas is now 2-6 in those games. Their only other win came in the 1978 NFC Championship Game, when Roger Staubach led the Cowboys to a 28-0 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Monday also marked the Cowboys' first-ever playoff victory while wearing their blue uniforms since switching to a navy color scheme in 1981. They were previously 0-3, with losses in the 1982 NFC title game against Washington and in 1996 and 2003 against Carolina.

If recent trends are any clue, however, the Cowboys' blue-jersey luck may be changing. Dallas is now 9-2 overall when wearing those navy jerseys over the past two seasons.

This article is from 2021 so it's not completely up to date (apparently add about 9 wins and 2 losses to the record in blue).

Skeptic or not, the numbers back the theory up. Dallas is 72-76-1 in regular season games when wearing blue as of the publishing of this article. The franchise owns a much better overall 530-399-6 all-time record, which proves maybe the "bad luck blues" are actually cursed.
