Entertaining moving him and risking cutting short what, the 3-4 years at a high level he might have left... like, oh no, I'll take my chances. I'm not concerned that I'm going to get stuck in "decades," of bad QB play. I'll find another fringe top 10 starter at least, I have literally zero concern about it.

That’s my major issue with Dak. I love the guy, but it’s 8 years. You see the negatives, and the negatives really haven’t gone away or improved.
In the meantime, Dallas is cycling thru really good talent at other positions waiting on Dak to flip a switch and be that guy. But he’s not going to flip it, and Jerry will hang on till hell freezes over because..well, he sucks ass at evaluating QBs along with other things.

There’s enough evidence out there now that disputes the “it takes decades to find a great QB” argument. These guys coming in today are damn good in general and more than that, the NFL is getting more like college ball and further and further from the game I truly enjoyed in the 80’s and 90’s. These system QBs are coming into the NFL and performing at that level easier and easier with each passing year. Look at Purdy for example.
But as many here have already pointed out, it’s hard to run a team like Jones does and find a Purdy, because they don’t value finding a guy to stash on the roster who could supplant Dak if the opportunity presented itself. You’ll get Will Grier and like it.

I seriously don’t know who Collinsworth is blackmailing to keep on the air. I cannot stand the incessant yammering and folksy good ole boy stories about every player on the roster he’s covering. Fuck that guy.

He actually had the talent to be a long time NFL player.

He had a heck of a rookie year for us and turned out to even have some skills as a return man.

But he had a two cent head and that's why he was out of the league so soon.
