If we didn't extend Elliott and he sat out a handful of games to start 2019 it would've given Jerry yet another excuse to bring Garrett back despite missing the playoffs, which likely would've resulted in some sort of short 2-3 year extension.

So we likely would've had to have dealt with at least another year or two of Garrett if Elliott wasn't extended, for that reason alone I'm fine with how things played out.

are you having a delayed reaction to this? Ive been pretty pissed about this forever, and all that happy horse-shit at the HOF with Jerry tap dancing about putting Jimmy in. I was glad those guys put Jerry on the spot like that.

I am pretty sure in Jerry Jones' diseased mind, he is clutching onto the last string of hope that people will still view the three Super Bowls as belonging to him as long as he keeps Johnson out. If he inducts Johnson, he is elevating him and giving him the credit. That is all that there is to it.
 
And this is another reason I love Newy. Smartest, best media guy in town. And he has balls.

He admired Al Davis and now he is Al: an old man trying to do two important jobs (owner and GM). Worse, Stephen will be our Mark Davis.

And he will never get big either. He would have to walk up on Jones with a dead hooker and even then, maybe.

Due to Covid, the halftime ceremony for Pearson, Harris and Jimmuh didn’t happen until Sept 2021, I get you don’t want to have Jimmuh’s ROH ceremony same season.

2022 has come and gone and maybe you want to give it some air. Put a season in between the HOF and ROH.

2023 we should expect to have a HOF ceremony for Ware and Howley. Jerruh may use this as an excuse that you can’t have a ROH ceremony for Jimmuh same season (and for Ware, for that matter)

2024, anyone?

Yeah he is a bitter old man, if he hasn't let it go by now I'm not sure he ever will. I think he feels like he is holding something over Jimmy's head and he loves it.
