Seems weird that the comp for Ced Wilson who barely played is only one round behind that of Connor Williams who started all year and got some accolades.

And a 5th for Gregory despite the fact that he was sidelined most of the year. I guess these comp picks aren't pegged to performance.

I think the main factor is the size of contract when they sign somewhere else, right?

And he should be. We’ve done well in the mid rounds lately. And that 5th round pick is the biggest contribution Randy Gregory has made to this team since being drafted.

Yes, we've clearly done well in the draft, although not well enough to counteract the fact that we don't do anything of particular significance in free agency, partially with the calculation of compensatory picks in mind.

I thought the comp formula was some arcane combination of contract plus play with the new team,.

Where's adamjt13?... :geek

I've always been a fan of his even after his ability declined because I loved his effort and his professionalism combined with the fact that while he was no longer elite, he did still help the team on the field more than people were willing to admit.

However, those days are over. The Zeke we saw throughout the second half of the season looked like a finished player, and this is after getting a few weeks rest due to injury as well.

It's time to cut him, not bring him back for cheap. Outside of blocking, Malik Davis can give you everything he can and do it better.

Goodbye, Zeke.
From the limited action I saw from Davis he looks ok. They definitely need a cowbell RB if they don’t re-sign Pollard.

Burrow's arm strength is average. Same range as Daks. But his release, anticipation and accuracy are elite.
I must be missing something when I watch Burrow play then. His arm looks pretty damn strong to me.

That’s the biggest downside to the Jones mindset. They think they build a SB team thru the draft. And it’s a failed experiment.

Yeah its a pretty well known fact. But he is way more athletic with his legs than people realize too. Burrow is a perfect example of just how overrated arm strength is. You have to have a minimum level of arm strength but beyond that I think it's overrated.

We've all said you can't get over the hump doing this. You build your core through the draft but picks are too spread out. As soon as one guy develops another is aging out or leaving in free agency. What you need is a bunch of talent all at once and the only good way to do that is add free agents too. Otherwise you're just treading water for the most part.

Thank god they’re not .
