We'll see but Philly has been barely scratching by and should've lost to that very same Pats team you're calling the worst in football. They were a play or two from losing to the Skins at home, the same team the Bears blew out a few days later.

SF is clearly a step above everyone else right now but I think we're right there with Philly and probably Detroit, who hasn't really beaten anybody impressive except for an off-brand version of the Chiefs.
One thing Detroit and Philly clearly have over Dallas is consistency.

I haven't seen either of them look completely unprepared and outmatched like we've seen twice from the Cowboys. Twice in a short period of time at that.

That's very concerning, IMO.

I hope so. I just have zero faith in which version of the Cowboys shows up Monday night.

This is a Jekyll and Hyde team.
Yeah, I don’t see the confidence after that thorough defeat, and the injuries that piled on . Kellen takes Mike to school would be about right.

This is very true, when we're on our game I think we'd be pretty solid favorites over both, but God knows what sort of performance we'll get week to week.

The 9ers made CeeDee a non factor. Take away the heart of the defense, nullify the best player on offense (and Daks primary) and battle is half over.

I thought I noticed a few plays during the game where Lamb threw his hands up in frustration at Dak. On the tipped ball Gallup gave up for a pick, he was gesturing, "Here I am, I'm open!"

Saying the coach sucks is hyperbole.

McCarthy has been great as a HC.

He hasn't been very impressive as a playcaller, but to be fair, it's only been 5 games and he is working with a dumbass at QB.

With that being said, the offense has also been very unimaginative and if this is how it goes all season, then he absolutely needs to go outside the organization for an OC and give the reigns to said OC.
I’ve been critical of McCarthy but the guy has been a QB coach-he knows exactly what he has in Dak.
His offense with Rodgers at the helm looked pretty good-good enough to beat the Cowboys numerous times. Maybe he’s trying fit a square peg Dak in a round hole for his offense. Dumbing it down because Dak isn’t capable of running the offense McCarthy desires.

Yep, as awful as Sunday night was, I don't think much has changed in the big picture. We still just need to somehow scrape out enough wins to get to the playoffs. It's a long, long season and this team and every other one will have evolved a lot by the time we get to late December.
You need to insert the famous Jim Mora GIF here to make your post make sense. One and done if they somehow stumble to the playoffs.

The Jets beat the Bills.

We destroyed the Jets.

It doesn't matter if it's bad teams or not. You can't just view things in isolation like that.
I would not conclude that we would beat the Bills just because we hammered the Jets .

Oh, I don't expect them to turn into a Super Bowl winner, mostly because I don't think our QB is good enough for that. But I do think the defense can play much better, at least well enough to make the playoffs.

I mean, if it's Super Bowl or bust, I don't see why anyone even follows the team. Only a few teams have the QB to win it all each year. I'll still follow the team and hope they at least play to what potential they do have.

The only person that nullified Lamb was Dak.

Which is my point.

Also, the Bills are way, way better than the Jets despite losing to them.

You can't just go by a head to head matchup.

Which goes back to my original point which is that we're way better than Arizona and should have beaten them.

In a way, I think it's super bowl or bust but I wouldn't define my rooting interest that way. I'm rooting no matter what.

After 27 years….isnt it ok to expect a SB appearance? I mean seriously the Cowboys are 1 of 3 I believe now in the NFL that hasn’t appeared in a title game in 25+ years.

In your opinion, which loss is worse, the Cards loss or the 9er loss, and why?

And which one says more about the team?

It's not necessarily SB or bust, though that used to be the standard for this team. But a somewhat lower benchmark is an NFCC game, which they haven't been to for 27 years, and only 3 other NFC teams have failed to achieve. That's a lot lower than "winning it all each year."

And that does make the average fan wonder what the point is of following a team that has little or no chance of ever getting to a SB, and roughly the same odds of ever making to an NFCC game.
