2023 Free Agency Thread

This shit is funny. Truth is teams are just as afraid of the contract Lamar wants as the Ravens. But hey, maybe someone will deal two first for Lamar. But franchise tags rarely end up with a team just signing him to a contract. And how the hell does anyone know a team won't. I wouldn't but then again I wouldn't have given a haul for Russell Wilson or Watson.
If Jackson had an agent, this wouldn’t be happening.

I just went and looked at his stats. I guess I haven't been paying close attention because I didn't realize he hasn't had a 1000 yard season since 2018. And now he's 32.

I'd have zero interest. I'd rather re-sign Hilton if we were going the cheap washed up veteran route.

He is still producing at a much higher level than Hilton. I would do it but Dallas won’t.

I think he still has game left. When Jefferson came in, Thielen was no longer the focal point in their passing attack. But he’s still reliable.

Dak is definitely better than Garoppolo, the only difference is Garoppolo played under arguably the best offensive architect in the league the last few years while Dak has played under offenses designed by...Garrett and his stepchild Moore.

He would be a great third WR. Should give Cole Beasley a call too so I can whip his jersey out of my closet again.

Thielen is basically a small TE at this point given that he's mostly a possession guy who will average around 10 YPC, I'd do it as sort of a way to replace Schultz as a receiving threat but I'd still look elsewhere for an upgrade if possible.

Too late for Beasley. I'm pretty sure Booze has all of his jerseys.

Been saying for about 6 months now that if we had any balls we'd go hard after someone like Jones, obviously that'll never happen.
I wouldn’t pitch too hard for Jones. He is not that great against the run.

Gosh it's always interesting when things come full circle. I wanted to draft the guy bad. For whatever reason he fell to the third round of the draft. And now here we are looking at a productive pass rush DT hitting free agency in demand.

Luckily we got Trysten Hill in that draft instead. A DT that I absolutely wanted nothing to do with.

No but we need a legit interior pass-rusher, Kancey isn't going to do shit for us against the run but I'll be god damned if he can't collapse the pocket on 3rd and 7, and that's why I'd be happy with him at 26.

Yeah I mean a guy like Kancey or Jones might shoot up field and make a big play against the run. But they aren't going to take on double teams and free up LBers if that's what you're looking for. Go sign Tomlinson if that's what you want. I wouldn't mind a Sheldon Rankins either if it's not too expensive. Hell maybe Poona Ford would be cheap. I shouldn't even mention Tomlinson because he is going to be out of our price range. Dallas isn't signing anyone over 5 mil a year at DT.
