I've ran lots of mocks on that site and I yet to have Addison available. But if he fell to 26 that's the type of steal meets need that you run to the podium to make.

You might remember Adebawore from his performance at the NFL combine, where he ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at 282 pounds, putting up the fastest time of any player over 280 pounds at the combine since at least 2006, according to ESPN Stats & Information. I wrote at the time that he was going to rise, and he's likely going in Round 1 now. He wasn't super productive in college -- 9.5 sacks since 2021 -- but his talent is undeniable. Adebawore played about 75% of his snaps at defensive end, but he could move inside at the next level and work as a 3-technique tackle.

For the Cowboys, we know defensive coordinator Dan Quinn values versatility, and Adebawore could get reps all over the line. DeMarcus Lawrence turns 31 this offseason, and they need to keep adding young players to their rotation.

I like Dawand Jones. The rest of it I'd flush. But even that wouldn't make much sense. Jones is a RT. He isn't a LT, he isn't really built to play guard. So while I think he could be an elite NFL RT, would we really do that with Steele here? Or are we assuming that we won't be able to resign Steele a year from now? Plus there is no way the Cowboys draft an O-lineman without any real position flex. Just not our style.
 
26. Dallas Cowboys – Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson

A lot of people think Dallas is targeting Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer to replace Dalton Schultz, but I don’t think so. Schultz’ replacement is already on the roster and his name is Jake Ferguson. The Cowboys learned the hard way that with abysmal linebacker play, you can get exposed. I don’t have Simpson among my current Top 30 prospects but he just missed (and may join the next Big Board, stay tuned). He’s a great fit in Dallas and Jerry Jones will love that he ran a 4.43 forty at the Combine, second-fastest among linebackers. Plus, he had a great showing at Clemson’s Pro Day, posting a ridiculous 40.5″ vertical jump.
