I hate it that we have physical thresholds for draft picks.

It costs us chances at guys like Dell and especially Deuce Vaughn.

It is going to break my heart when that little MFer goes and graces another franchise.

I am telling you, he has the talent.

He could be the modern day Muggsy Bogues of the NFL.
Yeah, I would love to have Vaughn.

This is bullshit. The 49ers racked up on the picks, not because they drafted well but because people like Martin Mayhew, Ran Carthon and Mike McDaniel got hired as either coach or GM.

Personally, I don't think any team should get a comp pick unless they truly developed that minority candidate. In Mayhew and Carthon, both had developed careers elsewhere prior to SF.
I don't like the comp pick bullshit for hiring "minorities" at all. But, how in the actual fuck is Mike McDaniel considered a minority. Dude is as white as I am.

His dad is black.

My dad's skin is about as dark as his dad's in that picture and McDaniel and I have a similar skin tone now, sometimes you wonder.

My hair is of a similar texture and color to McDaniel's. I now must question who my father really is.

Based in a grainy old wedding photo...

But who are we to say? He tells me that he is black that is fine. I will take his word and I'm sure his mom had something to say. Just to automatically dismiss based on his skin tone not being black?

Well I mean his hair, skin tone, overall appearance. I don't have a problem with him identifying as black. Hell I don't have a problem with anyone identifying as black no matter how white you are. Hell I don't have a problem with a black man identifying as white either for that matter. But when you're handing out draft picks based on it, I care about that. That's really all. It's also a bit ironic that the guy who looks like a nerdy white kid is the guy that league holds up as the shinning example of minority hires in the NFL.

I agree with that. I dont like the draft pick part and frankly i think its disrespectful. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have the opportunities. Just don't reward the team for developing them because it looks like the pick is a reward for dealing with somebody that you wouldn't normally.

I remember reading articles about "HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MIKE MCDANIEL'S BLACKNESS" after everyone started making fun of him. What a world. :lol

I doubt the union would like that. They still have a say, the future rookies don't.

And since when was this about building the best teams anyway.
Yep, it makes too much sense, therefore it will never happen. Imagine teams being prepared before making franchise-altering decisions?

Also impossible. Addison won't be there, Gibbs won't be there and Mauch won't be there. You must be messing with some of the settings.
I thought the same, but I did not want to mess with his dreams.
