This is not bowl season like I remember.

All the decent players are sitting out and you see a coach's fucking kid out there when he would never have done so had everyone not sat.

It's a joke now. Nothing matters except the playoffs anymore.

I blame ESPN.

Practically every bowl is on ESPN and they spend every free moment of every one of those bowl games talking up the playoff games.

I miss when the games were spread out across several networks and the week of Christmas to New Year's Day was jam packed with games. Now everything is spread out over a three week period just so ESPN can air every game.

I guess Florida State can shut up about not playing for the National Championship.
Not having over 1/3 of the players because they opted out is not solid objective evidence. They would’ve lost anyway, but not like that.

Having watched Florida State at any point during the season however, is solid objective evidence that they didn't belong in the playoffs.

I like how Garrett Wilson got called out for being a hypocrite. Players like him are the main reason bowl games are meaningless.

Wilson goes on to admit in the thread that he regrets not playing in the Rose Bowl. I think most players are going to look back 10-20 years from now and have regret for sitting out of prestigious bowl games that are once in a lifetime experiences.

I didn’t realize until reading today that most of the FSU starters (plus the backup QB) were out between NFL draft and the portal.
Yeah, basically they threw a tantrum and quit.

I thought someone on twitter said it best yesterday.

FSU had two options.

Play hard, beat Georgia, go undefeated and prove the playoff committee and everyone else wrong.

Or Quit and get embarrassed so that there isn’t an ounce of sympathy for them from anyone.

They chose the latter.

Yep. They chose to act like a group of immature bitches.

:lol

I literally just told my buddy I have no confidence in Michigan to win this game and right on cue they turn the ball over on the very first play.

They are so lucky.

You know that pick would have let to a route.

:lol

Good lord.

Michigan is determined to turn the ball over it seems.

And what an awful attempt to field that ball. Way too casual there with that field attempt.

Anyone else watching the ESPNews Skycast of the Alabama/Michigan game?

This is the absolute best angle to watch a game I have seen yet.
