I assume the Big 12 is going to add one more team in the next year or two since the addition of Colorado gives them an odd number of teams.

If I'm Oregon I might consider making that leap. They could dominate that conference while aligning themselves with a conference that'll have a better broadcast deal than the PAC 12.

I'll admit I'll be sick if the B12 gets its act together after OU and Texas have left. The middle of the country should have its own big time league and I sort of hate that those schools had to leave to keep up financially. I like the south overall but I've grown to hate the overhype around the SEC.

I don't know about dominating. They will get a taste of some good old asswhooping in nonconference this year.

They’ve been actively looking at that since the new B12 contract came out. They will now make less annually than UCF and they can’t accept that. With the ACC GOR, they can’t renegotiate or leave for quite some time.

I think the hope is 3 more, but definitely 1. If AZ, AZ St and Utah all want to come with Colorado then it’ll be a no brainer. If 2 out of 3 come, then the last spot will be filled with Memphis or SDSU.

Oregon and Washington are waiting out a hopeful Big 10 offer to join USC/UCLA.

Oregon and Washington reached out to the B1G about moving when the USC/UCLA move was announced and the B1G said no, but I can’t imagine my conference not being interested in those programs. It doesn’t do anything with respect to recruiting, but Oregon is a decent ratings draw, and Washington fits the academic desires really well. But, ultimately, money will rule over everything. And, if the B1G has even a puncher’s chance at landing FSU, they’d put all of the resources and attention to get them 100-fold over Oregon and Washington.

You really think so? Interesting.

I honestly do. Landing FSU would be a much bigger impact to the conference than Oregon and Washington combined. The recruiting opportunities alone far outweigh anything that Oregon and Washington could offer.

I miss the days when conferences made geographical sense. Oregon and FSU to the Big 10? feh.

They probably won't due it because of branding but it would make sense if they renamed all the conferenced. Give them all non-regional names.

No tradition.

the big 10 tried it with Legends and Leaders divisions. That didn’t last long. Of course conferences already don’t make sense. The number divisions (big, pac, big) don’t even match their names any longer.

The B1G is likely going to go after FSU and Clemson pretty hard now.
That's fine, then UNC/NC St/Ga Tech/Miami can all join the B12. If we're going Super Conferences, just go all in and get it done. Yormark isn't a fool and has played things perfectly thus far.
