Just based on how kids operate these days, my guess is he initially beat out a QB with a higher ceiling. And instead of the other QB sticking around and eventually winning the job, the other QB probably transferred in a huff for immediate playing time elsewhere.

That's typically how things play out in today's CFB.
 
Also regarding Milroe.

He picked a bad time to try to throw Bill O'Brien under the bus. On Thursday during one of the media sessions he told the media that Bill O'Brien told him he'd be better off switching positions.

He then proceeds to go out there on the big stage and strengthened O'Brien's argument.

I was thinking about that too. O'Brien can be a dick, but I think he was right about this one. Would virtually guarantee that Milroe won't be the QB there next year and will transfer during the next portal session.

Saban tried replacing Milroe for a couple of games early this season but the backups weren't any better.

Someone should tell him he could make millions in the NFL by changing positions. As a QB he has no shot. Big dude, great athlete, great runner. Put the guy at RB and he may be a legit NFL prospect.

I see you're not familiar with Texas weather in the winter. :lol

So yeah, it will be warm when you enter the stadium but it's gonna be about 30 degrees colder than that by the time you exit the stadium.

So prepare yourself accordingly.

TA, I own property both in Dallas and L.A. I split my time between both. I've enjoyed many a Dallas ice storm in winter. I also don't get cold. I wear shorts when it snows.
