To the point I made last night, insiders are saying that pushing everything to the right one week and eliminating the bye week leading up to the Super Bowl is on the table. If that's a real option the league needs to tell that to teams ASAP because that will definitely impact how they approach this weekend's game.
Under that scenario I assume Bills-Bengals would be a stand alone game and have an entire weekend to themselves. Well that gives all the other playoff teams a bye leading into the playoffs while the Bills & Bengals would have to go into the playoffs without the benefit of extra rest. That doesn't seem fair. Especially when we're talking about high seeds being placed at that type of disadvantage.
That's why I think the smart and easy thing to do would just be able to write the game off as a "no contest". And just award HFA in the AFC by winning percentage.
