One more Cowboys TD and Dallas Clark may be coaching the Colts next week.

Why worried? I get this is a flawed team (Dak untimely INTS and the run defense hasn't been great), but so is Philly, KC, Buffalo, Minny, ect.
Also, the run defense seems to be improving.
They probably have a better shot at making a run than 2014, 2016, 2018, and certainly compared to last year.
Will they? Don't know.
 
If you would have told me three hours ago the Colts would kneel on it to end the game, I woulda been bummed.

Not often you see the losing team do that. What an ass whoopin.

I'll consider trusting this team when they get beyond the division round at least once in 27 years.

This game was a laugher in the end but it wasn't a laugher for most of the game. The colts sort of fell apart. The passing offense had like five point-something yards per attempt which is really bad, and the defense struggled for a good portion of the game. There's still good reason to worry.
 
So... is bb a legit candidate to start game threads now?
 
Honestly the playoff draw is not looking favorable for this team

5 at 4

Tom Brady and the Tampa defense in the playoffs-- not good. Our defense and Tony Pollard on grass, not to the strength of either.

5 at 1
Supposing we and the remaining favorites win, then it's at Philly, which let's face it is the toughest draw.

5 at 3
Then, if we win that we are likely at San Francisco for the NFCC.

Basically we have to beat the worst possible draw, and play all road games.

And then the Chiefs or Bills in the Superbowl.

Unless the Commanders or Giants can pull off the upset one more time vs the Eagles (and we also win every game including them), then it's the reverse situation where we might even gain a bye.

I get it from the standpoint that this team hasn't had playoff success in close to 30 years, but not based on this particular game.
Keep in mind that Colts pass defense is pretty dang good. The passing yards weren't impressive, for sure, but they made enough plays to score a crap ton of points given how the running game dominated. Consider that the Dallas run defense was pretty solid again, too.

San Francisco is very iffy now.

Yep. Can the Cowboys win in a high stakes win or go home playoff game with what amounts to a dink and dunk passing game, a shaky run D, and a QB/WR combo who throws INTS at very critical times of the game?

They probably can win 1 or 2, but can they win 3 in a row, on the road, against what will be very good teams? Man I just don’t know.

It would be sweet to go there and get another playoff win there.

But they would be third on my list of teams I would not want to visit in the playoffs, after 1) Tampa and 2) Philly.

Tampa is intimidating because of Brady, but that's a team that frankly sucks at running the ball. Would likely be plenty of opportunity to pressure old man Tom. You're definitely right about a date with Philthy in round two. But that's inevitable if this team is to make a deep run. San Fran just lost Jimmy G so they might just fall off.
