1.) late throw on 3d down ( INT ) sets the niners up on our 20.. gives away free points
2.) 2nd and 2 in the red zone … forced throw ( INT ) costs us points
3. Under throws Ceedee on bomb , yes he caught anyway but an easy 6 off the board .. more points
4.) 3rd down misses a wide open TY Hilton for an easy 6.. in stead forces the ball to Lamb covered like a blanket by Warner . More points off the board
5.) again under throws Gallup for an easy 6 and doesn’t even put it in a spot where he can go up and go get it.. more points off the board .
im sorry ..but to honestly think Dak is worth any kind of elite QB $$ is just ludicrous.. The offensive line played fantastic considering the front 7 they were up against . He had time . He was late with his decision making and throws were poor ....and that’s not what elite QB’s do…We can sit here and make excuses and analyze this with horse blinders but facts are facts … He’s a mediocre QB riding the coattails of a talented roster …. When the games on the line … he shits the bed …end of story
Right, it’s not just the interceptions. Dak misses way too many passes and the problem is getting worse with time. He’s never had a great arm, either with exceptional strength or accuracy, and now both seem to be deteriorating. He doesn’t help himself with his absolutely abysmal footwork and mechanics as well. He is constantly throwing across his body or off his back foot, etc, but even from the pocket when he should be planted, he just misses guys in stride way too often.
I am not the biggest Kellen Moore fan but I don’t really think it’s true that the OC is holding Dak back. And I know we bitch about Gallup and losing Amari for nothing and Zeke being broken down, but I actually think his supporting cast does their best job to give Dak a chance and he misses the opportunities himself far too much.
Like, I don’t think he is elevating these guys at all. It's true that the cast on offense needs to be improved, but it's also true that the QB isn't good enough.
It’s hard to say where you “rank,” Dak if we are making a numbered list but the numerical ranking is kinda irrelevant. I agree more than ever now that he’s in the group with like, Derek Carr. Can put up some stats because anyone can these days, but not a winner.
I would say he’s no better than a third tier guy. You have your true elites - Mahomes, Burrow, maybe Allen. Then you have your guys with warts but who have enough talent at something to be in the “capable” category, like Lamar Jackson or (sadly) Jalen Hurts.
Dak may have at one time been in that second group but since his injury I’m putting him in the third tier with a guy like Carr now.
