I don't believe the 49ers have any huge contracts on their books that would make them rush to find a trade partner like the Chiefs did with Tyreke Hill.

Just ignore him like the Cardinals did Kyler Murray and pay him next season.

He'll probably skip some offseason work but he'll show up before the fines start rolling in. He's still on his rookie contract so he's in no position to absorb a ton of fines. Also, teams can no longer forgive fines that were levied, so he'll be stuck with a pretty sizable bill if he tries to holdout into the regular season.

On the other hand, he could report before the deadline and manufacture a hamstring or back issue so he doesn't have to workout. I've seen athletes use that one before.
 
How many teams will offer top compensation knowing that he doesn't want to be used as a running back anymore?

Plenty.

Even if he doesn't line up in the backfield like a RB, there are still plenty of ways to get the ball into his hands at or behind the LOS.

I love me some Deebo, but I can't honestly say he is exactly the best route runner around.

I would still give up #24 and move on.

Stephen Jones will not.

1400 receiving yards is pretty good too. But how much of that is from screens. I really like Deebo but I wonder how well he translates into other offenses that can't scheme stuff up as well.

I wouldn't do it. You'd have to pay him like an elite receiver while taking away a big part of his game for his longevity.
