Honestly it’s Samuel plus that gimmicky play calling plus the trench talent

If they had actual QB talent things would be very different. Anyone expecting Samuel to be any good outside of SF is doing a shit ton of projecting.

Yeah, and I think he is a good WR, but I don't trust what San Fran did with him translating just anywhere. And he doesn't want to play RB so take out all those pass plays from the book too.

I think he’s fine playing RB, just wants to be compensated for it.

He had ~60 rushes last season, which is ~15% of the team’s total rushes.

Deebo allows 49ers financial flexibility to not pay for better RBs, but it’s also physically taxing on Deebo’s career longevity.

But he's apparently saying it's not about the money. Usually when someone says that I just roll my eyes, but the fact that he won't even negotiate with SF is a pretty good indication that it might actually be not about the money.
