I read that and then I said BOY ARE THEY GONNA REGRET IT!

I wonder why Atlanta hasn't tried more aggressively to work his contract over so he is more attractive in trade. Maybe it is just structured poorly like most of our contracts are.

Stuff like this is precisely why we should hang onto Cooper.

I like Kirk, he's a good young player. But for $5M more there is a better WR in Amari.

Shit like this is why Dallas was hoping to sign Gallup fast.

With these numbers being chucked around, I don’t see how Gallup settles for a long term deal averaging only 6/year.

Cooper’s deal is looking better and better.

No, Dallas traded him because Jerry had to blame someone, and it wasn’t going to be his once upon a time Super Bowl winning coach or his above average 40 million dollar QB

They're at 13 per for Gallup already...

Fuck no. Watson is good. He isn’t great. VASTLY overrated.
I agree he’s not elite like Rodgers or Mahomes, but I don’t quite get how he’s overrated. I don’t think folks put him up that high.

He’s basically at least one rung higher than whatever Dak is. Dak can’t play without an elite WR.

Watson proved he can produce (33 tds, 7 int) without or with (two 26 TD seasons) one— that’s a major QB value. In fact we don’t know if Lamar Jackson can be better with a top WR, and that might drop Jackson below Watson too.

Bottom line, until Carolina gets a QB those picks are basically useless anyways. With Watson, they gain a 26 year old top ten guy.

Only question is this investigation, but it’s already cost Watson a full year of games. I can’t see how that “time served” doesn’t already factor into his PT punishment. There might be an accompanying fine is what I’m thinking.

That trade as described or similar is likely.
