Pat McAfee claimed that while Rodgers will “get paid,” the quarterback’s contract won’t be near the $200 million-mark, because the quarterback “wants his friends back,” whom also need deals.
“The contract has not been done. He would like his people back to go on another run with his people.”

This plus a stacked draft at the position.

I always have believed that teams should always always get those old edge rushers if they want to compete at a higher level.

Please let the Skins sign Jameis Winston. :lol

Something I'm going to be looking out for going forward:

Aaron Rodgers has essentially become the co-GM in Green Bay. He's trying to do in the NFL what Lebron has been doing in the NBA. The big difference is the NBA has fully guaranteed contracts and they don't have a hard salary cap, so players aren't losing their jobs and salaries based on Lebron's decisions.

I'm curious to see what's going to happen a year or two down the road when players on the Packers start losing their jobs and are having to take pay cuts in order to fund the salaries of players who Rodgers pushed the Packers to sign. I could see some tension in the locker room as "Aaron's guys" are being brought in at the expensive of other players.....particularly defensive guys.

Typically players take an 'us vs. management' stance when it comes to money and league business. But now it feels like that line has been blurred in Green Bay. So I'll be looking to see what happens if a popular defensive player has to either take a pay cut or get cut all together just so the Packers can retain some schlub WR that Rodgers is fond of.
