2022 Cowboys Free Agency Thread

I think he is better than Basham as well. Still a rotational piece but they probably see this contract as starter money now.
They absolutely do.

He has been promoted.

His numbers compared favorably to Gregory’s.
His career arc was nonexistent.

It is not like he has gradually worked and improved every year.

It was a contract year for him and he cashed in.

He is the definition of a JAG that we are now paying.

Kind of surprised they didn't completely make him like they did Tyrone Crawford.

One thing I think is that part of the Kearse issue is Dan Quinn.

Kearse blossomed in a big way, out of nowhere. It was very impressive, but is it sustainable?

I am not trying to take the organization's position by a long shot.

If he is asking for a long-term contract, then somebody needs to talk some sense into him.

He was used especially well. He was put into the right position to make plays and, he made them.

If he wants five years and a billion gazillion dollars, then that might be confusing the Cap Tech.

Stephen's organizational philosophy is basically that nobody deserves to be paid unless they were drafted by Dallas. Considering that excludes literally 99% of the players coming into the league I'd say that's a less than optimal strategy for winning a Super Bowl.

It's true. Pretty soon he won't have a choice though and we will see a flurry of bottom of the barrel guys signed. Ones that know they need a one year prove it deal and hit free agency next year.
