The Rams have like 2 million in cap space and we offered Gregory 14/year, how much could they possibly sign him for?

If we aren't willing to go up to that 16-17 range, peanuts more compared to Gregory, it's just another indictment on Stephen's idiocy.

Just gotta do our "due diligence" first on a literal 1st ballot HOF'er who just put up 4 sacks and 6 TFL in 4 playoff games 2 months ago.

Smith would be an encouraging signing if he's anywhere near healthy. He was 2nd-team All Pro in 2020 (probably should've been in 2019 also) and even though he only managed 37 snaps last year he still had a sack (in the playoff game).

That's who the DMN is pushing. They said Miller hasn't had double digit sacks since 2018, will turn 33 soon, and will command an inflated salary due to the Super Bowl.

Meh, I'd rather pay for the older guy who is healthy, just dominated in the playoffs and was always the better player. But if Smith is like 1/3rd of the price and reasonably healthy that'd be a solid signing.

He's the same age as Gregory and if he was healthy last year he'd be talked about in the same class as Miller/Jones.

Yea but he came back for the playoff game and had a sack, so he must be in ok shape.

He's good but a back surgery and seems kind of flaky himself.... Could work out or could be a big disappointment. He seems kind of flashy though so I could see him wanting to be a Cowboy.
