2022 Cowboys Free Agency Thread

Good news. He is one that I really wanted to keep.

Not sure that's confirmation of anything. Looks like we are bringing all the boys back minus Cooper.

Now we need to see what bargain shit is out there to fill some holes.

Wow, that’s really, really shitty of Gregory if true. After all the patience we showed to him, and he takes the same deal from another team?

...or Goof Son and Deddy can do the Scrooge McDuck thing.

Indeed.

Like I said before Gregory backed out, Dorance Armstrong + an impact external FA (Wagner, Williams, etc.) is preferable to me than Gregory and some cut-rate LB or Hooker (although I know Hooker is already in the barn).

So maybe these dumb fucks can scratch their itch for re-signing their "homegrown" guys in Armstrong while splashing a little cash on a guy like Wagner, or potentially split that ~14/year between two guys like Nwosu and Jayon Brown.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what they do here because it's like a live case study in how flexible these morons are. They clearly have the room for a big money deal, but are they prepared to pivot to a talented external guy?

Can't say I'm optimistic.

Yeah, I don't believe in hometown discounts but this is different.

The team stuck by him though every fuck up when most teams would have cut his ass.

This is one of those rare instances where I feel a player did owe the organization something, but instead, this asshole screwed them.

Fuck him.

I hope he breaks his legs.

Gregory fucks the guys that showed him all kinds of unearned loyalty. Fuck him, better without him. Bring on Armstrong .

Fucking sucks. Had a chance of a special pass rush and now not so much.

These losers could easily figure out a way to nab Chandler Jones or Von Miller and have an even more special pass rush, so there's that.

Or we could choose to balance out the defense a bit by signing Wagner and still have a defense that profiles as potentially special.

Lawrence/Parsons/Armstrong/Basham plus a day 1/day 2 rookie is enough of a pass rush if we have Bobby Wagner blowing shit up behind them.

It sure seemed like everything was coming together for a minute there.

I understand that he's pissed that we changed the deal on him, but he still deserves a shaming.

Any other org would have kicked his ass to the curb a long time ago. Maybe he should have showed similar patience with Dallas fucking around with his contract. He didn't have to immediately stomp away.

And also fuck this incompetent front office.

If there was ever a moment in time - well, for the like 27th time, but this is one of them - that proves to everyone that we need a real GM, this is it.
