FAU is one of the replacement programs in the American for UCF, Cincy and Houston. They've put a lot of resources into building that program and will be a top tier team in that conference soon.
It won't take much to be competitive in that conference now that their 3 best teams are leaving. SMU & Memphis probably move to the top of the AAC food chain next season. But it also feels like SMU may not be long for the American themselves. They're right there in the heart of Dallas-Ft Worth with a ton of big time football talent surrounding them. I wouldn't be surprised if the PAC 12 or ACC came calling in order to stake their flags in Texas.

USC’s defense is laughably bad.

Game is on FS1 right now for anyone who wants to relive the glory of that second half.

Yeah, they better get used to that shit.
Oklahoma fans told them all year long what to expect but they didn't want to listen because they assumed all Sooners fans were just being bitter.

Last night was Oklahoma (2017-2021) Lincoln Riley in a nutshell. It was basically CTRL-C + CTRL-V

  • Blow a big early lead
  • Abandon the run
  • Bad defensive schemes mixed with poor tackling
  • USC OL & DL got bullied in the trenches
  • Poor conditioning which leads to substandard play in the 2nd half of the game.
  • Leaving an injured players in the game that's already out of hand. He did the same thing with Rattler in 2020 when OU was leading 34-3.

All year long it was pretty much a carbon copy of what we saw at Oklahoma. Where USC's offense had to score in the 40s most weeks in order for them to win games because the defense was that bad. The only saving grace for their defense was they had something like a +22 turnover margin on the season. Highly doubtful they can continue to create turnovers at that rate from year to year.

He's a good coach but he's reached his ceiling, IMO. He'll get you to 10+ wins but he's not the type of coach who can build a program capable of competing with the Ohio States and Georgias of CFB.

It's going to be interesting to see how long USC fans will be happy with just making the playoffs.....and likely getting blown out in said playoffs.

I like Caleb Williams and have zero beef with him but LOL at him for painting 'FUCK UTAH' on his fingernails then crying like a toddler after Utah spanked his ass.

Nah, bro. Take that L like a man.

If you're going to "talk" trash before the game don't throw a towel over your head and cry.

I hate entitled athletes like this. I mean abhor them. That's part of why I hate Mayfield so much. He was the most entitled piece of shit to ever hit college football.

And speaking of standing behind your trash talk....Matt Leinart is a coward as well.

That sorry SOB put a tweet out there last weekend bragging about USC going to the PAC-12 title game and Oklahoma only having 6 wins and called it karma.

Then last night after Lincoln Riley got exposed (again) he deleted the tweet. :lol

Frigging coward.

Agree on every point.

I don't think he understands the meaning of Karma. Well, now he does, I guess.

Karma? Did he say what he thought OU did wrong to "deserve" a bad year?

Or, more likely, he's too dumb to understand the concept of karma.

Edit, is there anyone on this board who hasn't timestamped the shit out of me? :shrug

Lots of guys on Kansas St. I'd love to see us draft. Anudike-Uzomah in the first, Vaughan and Beebe in the mid rounds, probably 3rd-4th range.
