Yup.

The guy is Felix Jones and Joseph Randle.

He's an explosive but limited player who looks better than he is because he's used in spurts.

Use him full time and the explosive plays will dwindle immediately just as they did with the aforementioned backs.

He had a game or two last year like that too. It's in him, but it's deep deep down there.

And this is what gives me hope still.

Garrett and his staff were so bad at times and yet they still made 3 Divisional round appearances.

Even with some blunders, you can still see the overall improvement in how the team does things under McCarthy with the most obvious detail being how they deal with and overcome injuries.

So my hope is that these guys actually help the team in gamedays and help us get past that damn divisional round..... even if I don't think today was their finest hour.
 
Gotta give it to them, Ravens have a great running scheme. They can plug damn near any scrub in and make them look good

I don’t think we know how good he is without having any skill talent around him to speak of.

Dak or any QB would have curled into a fetal position with a similar lack of literally any blue chip support on the edges or in the backfield.
 
One thing that I find odd is that even when Zeke is running well as he did today, they seem reluctant to give him consecutive carries whereas they seem more willing to do so with Pollard.

Almost every 5-plus yard carry from Zeke is followed by a pass of some sort.

While I don't have an issue with trying to get something off of play action in those instances, I would like to see us try to get Zeke going a bit more especially when hes running like he was today.

If I didn't know any better, I would think they are trying to phase him out ala Jaylon Smith.

But he looks pretty good right now and he had a great off-season.

Shouldn't we at least try and see if he can be the guy he was from 2016-2018?

If he's got it going, let's keep giving him the ball.

For as good as Pollard was today, Zeke remains the better interior runner so I'd like to see us maximize all of the weapons we have.
