I proposed this before he signed the extension and we were staring at losing him for nothing next off-season. A rookie QB wouldn't be making $40M per year (meaning more $ for free agents) and might, in time, be better.

All those years Dak was on a rookie deal. We did nothing in free agency. So I don't give a shit what he costs.
