How are they still in the top 5? And how are they ahead of Penn State?

Alabama lost to an unranked team who had 2 losses in 5 games.

Penn State was the #4 team visiting the #3 team and lost a close game, so how is that worse?

Anybody else in that same position and they drop to 7th or 8th.

I hope so, but still.... that's how they're ALWAYS still alive for the playoffs because they never get punished as harshly as they should for their losses.
 
Let's face it though this is just how it works. Sort of like if Ohio State wins out, they will get shoe horned in. Alabama will do the same.
