Exactly. In game injuries happen all the time. It's a big risk to go with 2 RBs. Especially considering they are reporting that the depth RBs have looked pretty good so it's not as if they'd be keeping a useless player just to have a body (even if they weren't looking good they could always find a RB off the street).

Isn’t there a 55 man roster this season though? I think they have to cut to 53, but then they can come back with 55 afterwards.

So it’s very possible another RB makes it when it’s 55. It’s just that they probably don’t care about exposing a guy like Dowdle to waivers.

If everything didn't line up perfectly for him, Garrett's teams folded like a house of cards. In particular, if he didn't have Romo out there audibling out of shitty play-calls, the Garrett Cowboys could barely win any games at all. I remember reading specific numbers that showed just how bad the Cowboys were without Romo.

And look no further than last year, even being among the healthiest teams in the league wasn't enough to escape the mire of Garrett's coaching and another 8-8 season.
