Hurts is a perfect backup to Dak that you may be able to flip for a pick later but as healthy as Dak has been it may be a bad investment.

I'd look at Hurts as a udfa, possibly a 7th

He would be a nice gadget/backup player but I'd look in like the fifth or later. I think he will be gone by then.

If Hurts can play at all someone will look him up in the 4th.

Not saying Hurts is the guy, but a Dak needs a fricking backup. I mean, enough already.

I have no problem with Hurts becoming the BU, QB. He had a pretty good college career for the time he played. He is an accurate passer with a strong arm. He is mobile and he has played at high levels in the college program. What’s not to like.

I mean to this point in Daks career the backup has meant nothing. But at some point we may actually need one.

This make more sense?

Now THAT makes sense.

What’s your problem with Hurts?

It isn't an issue until it becomes an issue again. You just never know.

My position is that it is until it isn't. He has to show that it's not an issue by playing well and staying on the field. Saying something doesn't make it so.

Twice now, we've been told that "it's no big deal". Once at draft time, and then last year, when Vander Esch missed weeks of games before being shut down completely.

So my take is that I'll hope that all is well, but believe it when I see it. And have some insurance for if and when it does.
