Exactly, and maybe he is just a gem waiting to be unearthed. I don't know, but you're basically trading a 7th in the hopes that this guy can prevent you from having the worst run defense the rest of this season. And if he is any good he walks after this year for a real contract. And if he sucks he is out of the NFL. Either way you just threw away a seventh round pick to try the guy out for a bit.
 
they can trade down a few spots in any round and reclaim that pick, but I wish it was conditional like the Griffen trade

Does anyone even know what the conditional part of that trade was? Is it a 6th that could become a 5th? Or a sixth that would go away if he is cut? Conditional picks can sometimes go either way. Like a 6th but if he reaches a certain sack total it becomes a fifth. Just curious if anyone found out what the conditional part of it means?

That was during his best season. Not sure which game that would've been. We lost the first one to SF, I think and then won several in a row IIRC.

I think that was Romo throwing a pick six to Janoris Jenkins putting us down 21-0 vs the Rams. This was not long after his terrible season opener vs the 49ers with all those back problems.

Of course, Romo led a comeback and we got our own defensive turnover to come back and win that game.

But I could see him posting that at that moment.
