Like I said, I think this is an age issue.

No offense, but you are in the latter season of life.

I guess my question is how is it that being younger allows one to unhear the crowd noise? It is at a much higher frequency than the music and is the dominant sound. I hear crowd noise so I would question some ones hearing abilities if the crowd noise wasn't heard above the music.

Oh well life is strange.
 
I just heard a fart out of my ass, so I believe my hearing is still good.

Yeah, basically the opposite of what I said he needs to do to get back to his second year form. Not to mention getting fat is rough on the back.

I too am getting up there in years. My hearing is ok but I'm unable to distinguish sounds. For example, if the washer and dryer are running while I'm watching tv, I have a very hard time hearing my program. Same thing when my wife tries to speak to me from another room and a fan is going in the room I'm in.

I'm not old but I have that same problem. Competing sounds make everything jumbled.
