2017 Free Agency Thread

The fuckin Patriots don't play man. Win the SB? Who cares, we gonna keep getting better. FA, all in.

Jerry still living in the glory years of the SB wins of the 90's piecing together castoffs and low budget free agents.

He gets a prove it deal?

Yeah heard that too. That shits crazy. I like him, but he isn't worth that.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Man, we better hope like hell Brown wasn't a one year wonder and that Scandrick can get back to 2015 form.

I feel like we will definitely draft a DB in the first 2 rounds. Any vets still out there worth a damn?

Disappointed that neither Carr nor Claiborne was brought back. Now the position is a glaring need.

And while I obviously feel like you can get by with lesser corners as long as the pass rush is strong, we actually lost pieces on the DL so far too.

So this defense is not inspiring me with a lot of confidence right now, nor am I of the impression it can be fixed with one draft.

I'm thinking defense regresses big time next year.

Well, the odds of us taking a first round corner just shot up. I still pray we get one of the DEs in the first. After that, I don't care if we take DBs with our next three picks.

Give me...

1. DE Taco Charlton
2. CB Adoree Jackson
3. S Justin Evans
4. CB Rasul Douglas

I may die of dehydration just from jerkin off.

And here I was counting on you to give the "corners don't matter" speech.

Oddly enough it's the years when everyone expects the defense to fall apart and look like shit that they tend to step up and play well. And no I don't think this forces our hands at corner at all. We have Carrol, Brown and Scandrick. Crazy how quickly everyone has forgotten about Scandrick. But those are your top 3 corners. Maybe it doesn't inspire fear in offensive coordinators but Scandrick and Brown can make for a pretty solid duo. And Carrol as a third corner should be fine. Most of his career he was basically on a similar level to Carr.

I mean we lost what, 1.5 starters from last year? And added 1 starter. And Scandrick being fully recovered probably makes up the difference. Not that I'm against drafting a guy, it's a perfect draft to find someone. But I don't think this is some massive blow either.
