I'd love Claiborne back on another cheap prove it deal. For half the season he played like a top NFL corner. And Carr, well he is like that old reliable car :art. He isn't pretty, he pisses you off a lot, you want something nicer but when you have to get to work he is always there and ready to go.

I wouldn't "love" it. But it is better I guess than going into the draft freaking shit because we have to have a corner.
 
Patriots traded a first and third for Brandin Cooks.

I'm not sure on Kony. He had that dominant Superbowl and was supposed to take the next step last year and never did. I'm not sure he is a great fit for New England. I've just never been big on the guy even back to the year he was drafted.

Yeah I mean they moved down 8 spots in the second/third round. That's not much.

What do the Patriots have left for picks though. Seems like they use to always stockpile picks.

They traded their 2nd rounder for Ealy and the Panthers 3rd. Dropped something like 8-9 spots. Basically the equivalent of a 4th rounder is what the guys on NFL Network said.

They traded their first and third for Brandin Cooks, the Saints WR. Completely different trade.


Edit: This is what they have left for picks as of right now.

Third round — No. 72 (from Panthers)
Third round — No. 96
*Fourth-rounder — No. 118 *Forfeited in Deflategate (from Saints)
Fourth round — No. 131
Fifth round — No. 163 (from Broncos)
Fifth round — No. 183
Sixth round — No. 200 (from Colts)
Seventh round — No. 239 (from Lions)

The fourth rounder they received back from the Saints in the Cooks trade will be forfeited. Originally they were forfeiting their pick #131, but when the punishment was handed down, they were told they would forfeit their highest 4th rounder, even though they only had one at the time.

So what this means is, with this trade OUR 4th rounder has now moved up one spot. WOOT!! :towel

Ahh, okay. I knew I was missing something. Props on the breakdown of picks. So, they don't have a 1st or 2nd this year? That's awesome.

That's true, but I'd bet money they don't. I feel like they have him just sitting and waiting in the wings for Brady's eventual retirement.
