Yeah we tried to trade up for Lynch. Tried to trade up for Cook. And obviously liked Wentz. I'm guessing Goff was higher as well. So you're probably talking about the Cowboys like fifth favorite QB.

I don't believe I was even watching the draft for some reason. I know I would have hated the pick but knew it was coming based on the amount of time we spent on him. Unless we had chosen Wentz or One of the other two Dak was going to be a Cowboy.

Yeah I was mostly glad that we didn't try to take him in the second round.

The funny things is, Witten actually doesn't like contact.

That's why he's taken down by smaller corners and why he has that famous catch and tuck thing he does where he waits to absorb the hit in traffic. :lol

If he were more aggressive and used his size to his advantage more, he'd made more TD's and a lot more YAC.

Yea, I had no problem with him in the 4th. In the 2nd or 3rd I would've been pissed but couldn't complain about him in the 4th.

Obviously never in a million years would I have expected him to be this good.

Well yeah, if we had any idea he would be this good the second round would have been a steal for him.
