Venables is blitzing like a mad man right now. Mainly because he knows Hurns can't hurt them nor is their OC smart enough to call a simple screen and salt this game away.
 
This ref has some Hochuli type guns.

Very disappointing first quarter.

Not very good football being played by the supposedly two best teams.

I was very close to turning this game off.
 
It just seems that Alabama keeps getting the chunk plays they need to get into Clemson territory.

Venables needs to dial it down a bit I think and try to fool the true freshman kid.
 
Clemson are playing their 15th game of the season, and of those 15, this is their 10th multi turnover game.

This is why I couldn't pick them to win. They simply cannot protect the football.
 
Great, now protect the football and make that average Alabama offense in a position where they have to sustain a drive.

Exactly.

It's not a very good offense.

Stop giving up chunks and force them to put a drive that goes 7, 8, 9, plays, etc.

I'm not sure they can score enough if Clemson can put them in that position.
 
If Clemson can refrain from turning the ball over from this point onward, they will win this game.
 
What an effort by Watson there.

He almost got that.
 
Watson showed zero instincts even running the ball, allowing Foster to light him up like that.

This game will be a poor excuse for a title game with a back like Scarborough breaking it on a bad blitz is my guess.
 
All they have to do is stop the big chunk plays and they just can't do it.

This "medical tent" thing disturbs me.

I just think these players are taking a shit right there on the field.

Watson is such a sitting duck. He has no idea what is in front of him.
 
As much as I want to see Clemson win, some good could come from Bama winning.

It makes UCF's 100% winning percentage against them look that much more impressive.
 
3rd straight 3 and out for Alabama.

Clemson just had to find a way to put one more drive together.
