That's all across college football. As teams put the ball in the air more you will see numbers everywhere drop. Even the SEC will give up more yards. That's just the evolution of college football.

Yes, the Big 12 has some teams with the some really bad defenses but it would be the same if say the PAC 12 started running the air raid everywhere.

Don't judge the entire conference on Tech. They are the absolute worst.

However the team that scores the most points wins the game. Right? Defense lends no style points to the scoreboard it just keeps a lid on your opponent to the degree it can. Even the best defensive teams have to score points. Yeah I know. Defense wins championships. That's true if they can score.

It was the first game of the year. Teams get better as the season progresses.

I'm sure if Minnesota and TCU played today TCU would hang 40+ on them as well.
 
I bet Mike Riley is one and done in Nebraska. That was a horrible hire to begin with.

I understand they wanted to go with someone withe a personality that's opposite of Pelini's but bringing in a WGAS coach like Riley made no sense whatsoever.

Pelini would at least get them 9 or 10 wins. They may not get to 5 with Riley.

They did last year. And TCU could have put up 50 the last 2 weeks. They ran the ball so they wouldn't run the score up more. Clemson did nothing to pass TCU just like Utah did nothing to pass them. And Clemson beat their unranked team to by what 14 points? Will they drop? This whole thing is ridiculous. There is still no reason TCU shouldn't be 3 or 4.

No doubt. I do understand what c-rock is saying but that is a bad example. I'm pretty sure that the Minn game was just 1st game blues.
 
So after tonight's loss Texas fans will go back to calling for the head of Charlie Strong.

Those two plays at the goal line were horrible. I understand he's only the interim coach but even a JV high school coach would have handled that situation better.
