I know folks don't understand this in other areas but Chad Morris is a born and bred texas dude with texas high school connections. I think he has a chance to do well at SMU. He has the Briles factor. Lots of kids would love to play at home and get a great education. I wanted Briles, Morris or Kingsbury at Tech in that order.

His roster is terrible so he might struggle for a while. I hope it works out for him.
 
I work with another Texas Tech fan, and I pointed out (jokingly) that Kliff's job has to be safe because the last two coaches TTU fired were let go after winning seasons (Tubs left of his own accord). They have to wait for him to become a winner before they run him off.

Also, never thought about quitting TTU over Leach. I didn't quit the Cowboys when Jerry got rid of Jimmy Johnson.

I know this has been beat to death but Johnson engineered his release.

I've moved from Leach a long time ago. It seems that you haven't since you keep bringing him up. I haven't watched a single game over a Tech game and that includes Baylor. Just keep believing, though.
 
Freeze got an extension from Ole Miss.

I would really like to see UF go out and get Fitzgerald from Northwestern. Underrated coach.

He's hanging on to it for dear life. Keep in mind, he's a real fan, and what's to differentiate himself from us fake fans in any way possible. Just smile and nod.

Memory serves me that the 500 coaches comments were after Jones and Johnson were already at odds. Johnson has related on several occasions that he wanted out even before the last super bowl victory. He had even explored other coaching possibilities in Florida. Again I don't want to crank up this topic again so I will shut down further commentary.

Oh ffs he also said one of the main reasons he wanted out was Jerry starting to try to have more influence in the actual football decisions.

If it ended this way a Ala/FSU semi would be greatness. If FSU loses though it could be Ala/OSU...another awesome match up.
 
Does Ohio State ply this weekend? I can't find it if so but I keep hearing they play Wisconsin.

It is amazing that FSU ever end into a drought in the first place. They should have let go of good Bobby a long time ago.
