Let me ask you this: Why is it that in 11 years Leach didn't get one offer from another school for a job even when he was begging? The guys had the best offense in the country for most of those years. Why didn't he get ONE offer? If he was done so wrong why wasn't he awarded money? If he was so wronged why did it take two years for him to get a low lever BCS job?

By this logic, Hance is just at much at fault for demanding an ultimatum type letter be signed.

I have had around 10 job offers just this year from all over the country. I don't move because of the time invested in the State retirement system, plus that number hasn't been high enough for me to uproot my family, so yeah, I could get a job very easily if I were to quit or get fired right now.

That's not how I see it at all. Neither does the supreme court.

He punished a kid that was injured. Nobody can dispute that. The severity was grossly exaggerated. But that's only a small part of what happened.

What actually happened is what should be the center of debate, not this nonsense about whether he should have signed that letter. The reason you focus on the letter is because that's all you got. You wanted to do this, let's go.

So let's just ignore the scenario of you suing your previous boss do you think you would still be in high demand?

I wouldn't sue them if it was just an unrightful firing. I would file an official grievance with Tech's HR department, and yes, I would still be in high demand.

He sued for a bonus. That wouldn't apply to me.

If I had the audacity to ask him/her to sign a letter admitting guilt that was a lie, I would expect them to tell me to go F myself. I can't imagine anyone having the extreme lack of a moral compass to ask that, though. I guess you do.

The fact remains your name would be shit if you got into a back and forth like this and prospective employers would think twice about hiring you.

You are getting into some Schmidty level of semantics at this point and you still never answered the question of are your morals so strong as to, but you and your family at risk to prove a point.

The circumstances showed easily that Leach was done wrong in all of it. There were stupidly ridiculous lies spread, and his name was beaten down for no good reason. I don't give a damn what you say about how he recruited, or that he "punished" and injured player. He didn't deserve anything close to what he was given in terms of defamation of his name. It was a ploy by both James, his pussy ass son, and an administration that was gunning for him. You can't debate that, and if you even try (again) you are making a fool of yourself.

Yes, knowing me, I most likely would. I would refuse to sign a letter apologizing for something I never did. If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to look my son in the eye when I try to teach him principles about life. It would be a lie because I didn't stand for my own, so yeah, most likely I would "risk my family's future" to stand for my own principles. And, as much as Skid wants to act like he wouldn't, he would do the exact same thing.

Defamation? Hahahlolluzzz!

This conspiracy that you are trying to propose is really funny. James told his daddy lies and his daddy ran with it. He thought Leach had done all of these terrible things to his poor wittle son. Leach was asked to smooth it over but he refused.

I'd love to see who defamed his name though. Please please tell me. Display some evidence, link, video or something of all of this defamation that the administration heaved onto this poor man. There is none. There damn sure wasn't any. Hance only recently really addressed the situation candidly. Even at that he held back. I know you can't produce anything to back up your exaggeration.

Do you seriously believe that the perfect storm happened to where Hance conspired to the point that he trie to get Leach to sign a complete false document because he had it out for him? Does that sound reasonable to you?
