As Shoop mentioned, for every person screaming at them to "stick to sports", there's probably an equal amount screaming at them to speak up on social issues.

Exactly my point, so they have to "become" something else.
 
I don't know. Most trans people seem to be gay, which already affords people quite a bit of social credit and victim status in leftist circles.
