2023 NFL Draft Chatter Thread...

I was referring to the talent level.

This is the worst QB class since 2019. Even worse than last year because they will force guys up into the round.

Not that I am complaining since it just pushes down the talent we need.

You're such a depressive draft evaluator. Last year's QB draft class was awful. One QB in the middle of the first who probably didn't even belong there. This class has 4 dudes who would have probably rated higher than the highest QB taken last year. You just hate every draft class before the draft.

You really think this class is worse than Pickett, Willis and Howell? GTFO

Yea this class isn't amazing and lacks a no-brainer clear cut elite talent but there has been significantly worse over the years, including last year.

He's a multifaceted DFDC.

Yeah I mean there is no Lawrence/Burrow type at the top. I think Stroud is close but Ohio State as a school scares me a little. Stroud throws better than any Ohio State QB in recent memory though. Young would be if he was 4 inches taller. But at 5'10" you'll have to run an offense around that height. It limits you a bit. Not something you want to say about the top pick.

If you can run a shotgun based offense (It's become so common in the NFL) it's probably not as much concern. Under center its just too hard for a guy that height to see the field.

I can hardly wait for fans to be disappointed with Richardson when they quickly discover that he can’t read defenses or complete easy throws.

I'm not sure I have ever seen as freaky of an athlete as him at QB. Which is even more damning that he wasn't that good in college, I mean he was by far the best athlete on the football field and still didn't dominate.

Exactly. It’s actually kind of troubling. He should have dominated other teams. Instead, his play was pretty poor.

I am too lazy to see where he falls on our size spectrum but he looks like a mini-Metcalf.

Tell me again how oppressed these star college athletes are

32 1/8 inch arms and 6'2". He is bigger than I thought he was. I honestly thought he was more the size and speed of that undrafted Drummond we signed as an UDFA last year. I'd have to watch more of this guy. Drummond is a turd. But I guess Mingo ran a 4.46 forty and has big hands. Maybe he isn't the same.

I have a feeling the hype will subside the further we get away from the combine. Last year everyone was projecting Malik Willis as a 1st round pick and by the time the draft rolled around he "fell" to the 3rd round; which is about right for a QB of his caliber.

I have a feeling the same will end up happening with Richardson. I think people will finally start paying attention to his actual football film instead of his workout numbers.

I just saw this about Jalen Carter struggling at UGA's pro day.

Not a good past couple of weeks for Carter. His poor decision making and work ethic are two major red flags.

This guy is costing himself money.

Let him fall.
