I agree that the draft class and FA class at WR is less than ideal. But I don't think paying assets that should get you a #1 WR in exchange for a #2 WR is the solution. I'd rather bring back Hilton and try for an elite TE in the draft than do that.

If we trade Cooper for a 5th, then go and a year later trade for a worse WR in Jeudy for a 1st, then have to pay Jeudy on top of that within a year or so or lose him, I'm going to seriously lose it. It would be one of the worst mismanagements of assets in sports history.

I'm not sure what the solution is. The free agent market kind of blows. I'd sign one but it's with the knowledge that it's probably just a shot in the dark. I don't think another TE is the solution to WR. I just don't think that does what we need on offense.

And I'm not nearly as down on the WR draft class but I have no idea how the WRs would fall. Last year we thought one of the WRs would be there at our pick. They all went before us. I do know I'd be scouting the shit out of this group though. There will be some studs in there, go find them.
 
Any good educated guesses on what Keenan Allen will get? He is a little past his prime. And he's big and slow, just like we like 'em.

I'm sure the answer is "too much" but I do wonder what the numbers might be.

Yeah that's the other part, he might get overpaid for what he has left.

Scheduled to hit 30 mil on their cap. They have to trade or cut him don't they? That's an insane number. Of course his base salary is like 19 mil, so Jerry would probably have to rework that in a trade.
