Teams would be playing for one home game and /or bye. If so, get rid of divisional winners getting seeded ahead of teams with better records.

Yeah I mean I think most of the playoff teams this past year would have prefered to play the Bucs or Vikings over the Cowboys for example. So you can't say that winning your division and getting a better seat really led to an easier playoff schedule. Some of these wild card teams just are flat out better than some of the division winners. It's a product of having 8 divisions in football. There are some stinkers.

Why would they make more money, though? I'm not understanding this one at all. As Darlington said, the conference championship games are pretty much the pinnacle of the league year. In fact, for me that's almost the end of the football season before the stupidity of Superbowl week.

Terrible idea. We count on that Texas sun to blind our opponents.

They can turn it into two mini-Super Bowl's with the associated corporate presence and all the nonsense that goes along with it. They could hold them in climates that are more conducive to those sorts of activities, as opposed to random places like Kansas City where the location is unknown until a week before.

we're tantalizingly close. if we win on Sunday, we're a team of destiny going to Phoenix.
If we win and the Eagles lose, we are going to the Super Bowl.
