He must have read the initial assessments of some who analyzed him from the early college days and wrote him off. It seems almost unintelligent to think Hurts isn’t a player after the year he has had.

He sucks. He really does. He's a system QB that they're taking advantage of but he will bust very soon, much like Wentz.

He's a lot like Dak in 2016

The numbers Dak racked up plus all the media buzz fooled our "leadership" into sticking with Dak even after Romo was healthy.

Belichick would have been ruthless and gone with the player that gave him the best chance to win. Yeah in a similar situation he also chose the young QB over Bledsoe, but that's because he had a suspect OL and Beldsoe had little chemistry with Troy Brown and the other young Pats WR's like Brady had.

OTOH Romo had amazing chemistry with Terrence Williams, Cole Beasley, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant.

Didn't matter, front office went with the numbers.

RG3 in 2012 was the same, 20/5 with 7 rushing TDs. Mike Shanahan did the same with QB's with solid running games. 2000 Brian Griese is a good example of it.

The RPO effect is surprising, then there is a rapid leveling off.

Now everyone is being hoodwinked again

I don't think he's anything like Dak at any point in his career. Dak was always a passer first. We never centered our offense around him running the ball or RPOs.

The primarily similarity between the two is both had an otherworldly OL and running game that covered up their mediocrity as a passer.

If the Eagles have even one injured starter on the OL I think their offense will mostly grind to a halt.

A system QB is someone’s definition that someone made up for players that have severe limitations in a playbook. This doesn’t even come close to describing Hurts. He addresses every facet of the game and is successful in his performance For the most part his stats are above average in every category. It simply conjecture whether he will fall off automatically in a year or so.

The difference in Hurts and Dak is that Hurts puts more more successful drives toward scoring than Dak. Prescott builds stats but the number of possessions that fizzle because of his inability to complete enough passes of sunstancial amount yardage sustain a successful drive. 4 yard Passes the the receiver has to leave their feet to catch doesn’t move the ball enough. Passes that go fo 20 yards but then subsequent plays that lose yardage because of indecision and the drive fizzles. Dak has a lot of ability but in my opinion dioes not manages a playbook by execution very well. He is streaky in his execution and often times does pull a game out of the fire but Hurts doesn’t get behind very much because he is a better manager and executor of the playbook. I just can’t see Dak as being able to sustain enough successful execution to take a team all the way through the playoff system.

I’m simply relating to actual performances of the two this year. Some apparently prefer to rely on self imposed prophesy that was created by someone’s assessment of what they thought would happen right away but has not so far. If Hurts continues with his success then at some point even the most avid detractors will have to agree or continue to wear blinders. My one and only point about Hurts is he continues to be what I believe.I probably saw his performances more or as much as anyone else and in my option he was capable of being football QB In the NFL.

Post remark. When I initially wrote regarding Hurt a comparative to Dak was not part of my discussion. This sort of got infused recently when I remarked about my disliked of how Dak was managing the playbook.
