Yes, Oz was a bad candidate. Just one of those people who is not a likable guy, doesn't have charisma, etc.

But I guess there are too many old union types in PA who still vote blue even though they aren't the party of the little guy like they used to be.

But Trump did win there, so I dunno. Like your later post said, none of this makes sense with a very unpopular president at midterms.

You don't host a popular TV show for that many years without being "likeable." Honestly, all he had to do to beat Fetterman was show up, speak in complete sentences and not be crazy--and he did. Sorry, I blame the voters for this one.

But Trump did win there, so I dunno. Like your later post said, none of this makes sense with a very unpopular president at midterms.

DeSantis endorsed candidates (outside of Florida) who lost as well, but Trump will be the heavy.

I should clarify, Masters is more important in the short term. A popular Kari Lake is more important in 2024, but Masters is needed in the moment.

Governor (and Sec of State) is crucial for fixing that disaster of an election system they have, too.

It's absurd that Florida is 4x the size of Arizona and can count their votes in a few hours while AZ takes days. Of course we know who the chaotic elections favor.

While that's true, I don't buy the bad candidate argument because Democrats aren't exactly running JFK. Fetterman for example is a truly BAD candidate.

A bad/crazy candidate doesn't matter in a state that you dominate (see: Maxine Waters). But in a close state ...
 


This is the type of shit that has got to get fixed. Why was his name even on the ballot?

This is exactly right.

W was Trump before Trump (yes to a lesser degree but the point remains). They've demonized and vilified Cruz, Rubio, Christie, Abbott, Lake, Romney (until they needed him), McCain (until they needed him), Pence, Guiliani, Palin, Condaleeza Rice, the list can go on and on. Like not just criticized or disagreed with, but literally demonized.

DeSantis will be next (it's already started). No chance it stops with Trump. That's what they want you to think.

One of the saddest lessons from Covid was how many people do not value freedom and liberty and self-determination.. They prefer "safety" and a "protective" big brother to those things.

Unthinkable to people like us, but not everyone is like us.
