And one last piece, I actually think that Pickens has some alpha dog #1 WR in him. Had he not tore his ACL going into this last season I think his name would be up there in the first. Instead you get the benefit of knowing he is all the way back from the injury and still have that talent and upside. Dude has grown on me for sure.
He is definitely a bully.

The deeper I get into this draft, there are a lot of fun players. Not necessarily kick ass, but with the right environment could fit a role.

I have zero confidence in what exactly our offensive direction is.

It is weird that I feel better about the defensive players and less about the offensive. And we are definitely going offense.

So I think we are good at drafting WRs. Gallup, Lamb and Wilson span different rounds and all turned into good players. I think we can evaluate and draft well there.

Oline makes me nervous. We haven't been able to hit on a guy outside the first round in a long ass time. McGovern looks like a bust, Connor Williams feels like a shitty experiment. Biadiasz is the best non first rounder and he is just ok so far. Ball is a total unknown at this point. And Steele well he looks ok, but feels like dumb luck.

So I hate to say it but we may have to go Oline in the first round where it's sort of an obvious talent because we aren't good at finding them. It's why Raimann makes me nervous, it would be like Connor Williams 2.0.

On defense I feel good about Quinn and front 7 guys. But I think the jury is still out on his corner fetishes. Bossman is a thug who is looking bad right now, Wright was a total reach who I have no faith in and I like Mukuamu but he has been moved to safety and who knows because he didn't play. I'm not sure Quinn really knows what he is doing back there.

Oddly enough I feel good about safety for the first time in like forever.

It's a fun pass rusher group. We will take one somewhere and once you get past the first round guys there is still a lot to like. I think we take one and I think it's going to be a Majay Sander, Sam Williams, Bonito type who can really bring some athletic ability off the edge.

We have been all over the first two. Problem is, it may require a 2nd for Sanders, maybe even Williams if they want him bad enough.

We have been but I don't think you have to do it in the second. There are enough guys that those two could get pushed down. Other teams are going to love other DEs more potentially. Drake Jackson for example appears to have some big fans in the NFL. And of course you've got guys from Michigan, Penn State and Minnesota that all probably go first.

I have been getting deeper into the WRs.

I am getting scared we only have a couple of types we like and we will force something.

This is true. I don't know why teams don't learn though.

Shoehorning a QB into the first round that doesn't deserve it just because you need one historically has mostly ended in disaster.

Why keep making that mistake? Take a flyer later in the draft, and otherwise try again the following year.
It is all about the fifth year option. Frankly I find it dumb. It is pretty rare any team has five years to develop a QB.

So I have a weird perspective on this. Drake London, kind of scares me and I could kind of see him falling. He didn't run a forty which is not a good thing. I'm sure he is hiding behind the injury for it. But let's face it, dude is out there running routes. He knows what kind of forty he could run right now and it must not be good. I wonder if teams could get scared off him a little because of it. I say all thos because I worry about his ability to separate but at the same time think Dallas would be all over him at 24.

Interestingly enough Dallas just doesn't seem to like small players. He is obviously very big. I'm a literal nervous that the Cowboys will be overjoyed at the chance to draft him if he falls a bit. And he makes me nervous.

So has Florio put out his hit piece on Kiper yet?

Sorry, but I appreciate the mother fuckers who haven't taken the shot.
