2022 Cowboys Free Agency Thread

Penny-wise and pound foolish, it's like Stephen gets off on "getting a deal" on guys as opposed to focusing on how to best strengthen the roster to win a Super Bowl.

What % of our offseason ‘strategy’ is preparing for giving Sean Payton 2023 room to reconstruct his team?

If it’s a high %, then I’d think a 1st round trade-out of this years draft for additional picks next year would naturally follow. It would have to take one helluva CeeDee Lamb drop for us to pick someone instead of stockpiling for next draft

This is usually about the time they sign a couple Olawales, but it looks like the Joneses have pushed away from the table and are now dabbing their mouths with a napkin.
Wish they'd choke on a moist towelette.

I won't be upset if they choke on a dry towelette.
I'm all for equal opportunity.
Damn, you are a monster!

How about an overly-salted McGriddle?

Romo signed a big deal and couldn't stay on the field. Zeke signed a big deal and got old overnight. Throw in the Frederick situation and you've got your share of bad luck.
Respectively disagree. Romo wasn't a Wentz. Romo had a horrific Oline which constantly caused him to scramble out of the pocket. The man was solid. Played with fractured ribs etc... He stands as Dallas BEST undrafted player till this day. Unlike Elliott, Romo played strong & diligently
till the very end. Elliott is a huge bust/disappointment.

Elliott was one of the best in the league until his fourth season when he started losing a step. Without a doubt, his past two seasons he's a shadow of his former self. But you'll never convince 75% of our ignorant fanbase of this.

those who mistakenly/foolishly overpaid him.
The Joneses are routinely guilty of seeing things in short, impatient windows. They are fans playing GM

They wanted Elliott on the field for a shot at it all and damn the consequences.

Consequences are a bitch.

No RB ever won a Superbowl without a rock solid defense
