Cowboys Nostalgia Thread

~real fan alert~

Pre Sunday Ticket, I was unable to watch many of these games. In many cases, had to wait until ESPN NFL Countdown to know if Cowboys won/lost.

I’m sure many of you out-of-marketers remember the sadness of our downtrodden and repressed state, too. But we persevered and loyalties held firm. Bleeding blue and silver through adversity. ~slaps thighs~

I was a real fan and went to a sports bar if the game wasn't on locally.

Way I was raised.

Was he one of those that purposely did it as a reminder that God is more important than football.
Pretty much. I can't tell you how many times I missed kickoff.

Used to have a preacher that did that every time it was a big game or bowl game. To be fair at least he was a football fan.

My dad is a huge Cowboys fan... he was just like committed and shit.

I have watched the intro to several pre-Madden Summerall games where Tom Brookshier was his booth-mate.

God damn, how the hell did Drunk Pat not just punch his ass out?

When he settled down with Madden, it must have brought him great peace.

Brookshier was on local Philly sports talk radio (WIP) when I was growing up.

I haaaaaaaaated that homer.

So nice to see faggo Steve Young get beat around again.

We gave up three TDs to Sidney Rice in a playoff game? Must've blocked it out.
