Count me as someone who hopes Zimmer is nowhere on the list. Been there, done that.
Fangio’s Defenses always seem to play hard, and he ate Daks lunch so there’s that.
But I’d be surprised if Quinn bails after one season based on his comments.
He was pretty humbled there at the end of his Atlanta gig…I imagine with the way Atlanta choked in the SB, then the team falling apart….the pressure and everything that goes with it. He probably jets at some point but I just would think he’s nuts to bolt to Denver whose Team is in a bit of disarray, or Seattle who most likely loses Wilson after this season. Seems like 2 very low reward/high pressure coaching stops.

What if Denver can get a guy like Wilson? Suddenly that's an interesting team.

Eh, maybe. But why would Wilson go to Denver? All reports say he wants to go to a team that’s built to win now. That’s definitely not Denver, who has been upside down for 6 years.

Denver was supposedly one of the teams on his list... although like you say, I'm not sure why. New York was on there too, but at least there you have the media capital for his old lady.

Because the Broncos have a team built to win now. They just have no QB. They have a running game, they have a defense, and they have weapons to catch the ball. They just need a QB to compete.

Dak only played 16...

Romo only played 15 in 2014, but yea, just the fact that Dak is basically right there with Romo's best years at the age of 28 should tell you a lot.

It's definitely easier to pass nowadays, particularly compared to 2007, but 2014 to now is close enough that you can compare at face value.

Romo missed throws and was underappreciated at the time. Just as I think Dak is a bit now. But ultimately post season success is going to differentiate the two. The bar is set high in Dallas as it should be and just winning the NFC East isn't enough.

I really wish we had a run game right now, because I think everything else is here to make a run.

DFDC here. What is 'playing the way they're capable of playing'?

Put another way...what's the best we've played that demonstrates the way we're capable of playing?

For me, 'capable of playing' might win us one or two games, but we haven't demonstrated the ability to string together 3 strong games vs at-least decent competition to go all the way. Our best 3-game stretch was Bucs, Chargers and Eagles.

I believe this is true.

It's 100% true, although realistically it's very unlikely anybody does a better job with that roster than Fangio did, if Bridgewater hadn't gotten hurt they probably would've ended up 9-8 or 10-7 and possibly even in the playoffs.

If they had just an above average QB they'd have definitely made the playoffs.

Unfortunately I think Quinn just happens to be Paton's "guy" and Fangio was always a dead man walking this year unless he pulled a rabbit out of his hat and made the playoffs with Rumpelstiltskin at QB.

If Zeke sits and Pollard plays more I think there is a chance. All the Dak talk is great but our ground game is what kills us.
Zeke will figure prominently Im afraid. I want a good dose of Pollard too, but we go only as far as the oline takes us. Im not entirely comfortable/confident with their recent play.

The Broncos are focusing on the wrong thing firing Fangio. What they need to do is ask themselves how they can fix QB right now. The draft this year won't fix it. Free agent QBs are trash.

So what's the fix? Trade assets for a guy? Maybe Cousins or Wilson? Or Rodgers? That's what the Broncos should focus on. But instead they will waste time changing head coaches, having to learn a new defense and meanwhile the passing game is going to continue to suck.
