The fact that it didn't ultimately bite us in the butt doesn't exactly reassure me. It was only an 8 point game in the 4th when Dak lost the fumble.
the man is focused on the present.
I’m thinking he does.Probably unrealistic but I hope he stays for at least another season.
I think he does too. If he follows this season up with another anywhere close to it he knows he will get his choice of whatever is openI’m thinking he does.
Quinn has to be having the time of his life right now. He strikes me as a guy who loves what he’s doing currently. I doubt he’d want to one and done it here to take over a shitty team for 3-4 years and then be back looking for a DC job.
This is probably true to an extent. Right now he's getting tons of positive results and credit, and less pressure.Or he could actually be satisfied being a DC going forward. It could actually be a relief and is enjoying a job with less stress.
I'm not convinced Jacksonville is a bad job. They've got Trevor Lawrence, some excellent 2022 draft picks, and the bar is low - you'd be following a terrible failure. Ownership has reason to show patience. The need to develop Trevor Lawrence gives an offensive minded coach an advantage, but at the same time, Jacksonville needs someone with savvy who can help build the organization. Quinn could make a lot of sense and it'd be a great challenge for him. Much would depend on who he could get as OC.I think he'll be pretty selective of which job he chooses to leave the Cowboys for. He saw firsthand what having stability at QB can do for you. He had success in Atlanta because he walked into a job that already had a proven franchise QB in place.
I don't think there will be any jobs like that available this offseason. Most of the jobs that are expected to be available either have rookie QBs still doing the OJT thing (Chicago & Jacksonville) or they're currently making due with stop gap QBs.
There will probably be some movement with Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Deshaun Watson, but those moves won't happen until well after all the coaching vacancies have been filled. So the question will be does Quinn roll the dice and take a job with the belief that his new team will acquire one of those 3 QBs.
