If Lawrence keeps playing near this level I don't think it has to be dealt with though, if he's willing I'd even extend him for a few years at like 15/year, throw some guaranteed money at him and knock his cap hits down significantly over the next few years.

He's starting to really get after it rushing on the interior which is perfect with guys like Parsons and Gregory best suited to rush in space.

Yeah his cap hit next year is 27 mil and 29 mil the following year. An extension that lowers those numbers may be the way to go. When healthy he is still a very good end. But those cap figures are pretty crazy. His base salary over the next two years is like 20 mil a year and the rest is just prorated bonus.

He's fine, if Linderbaum somehow makes it to 26 or whatever, fine, if not, don't talk to me about center.

Yeah he is only a second year player and this is his first full season as a starter. I think he has shown the significant improvement that you would hope for out of a young player over the course of a season. If he keeps it up he may take the next step in his third year to be a top notch center in the NFL. I'd just enjoy the cheap contract on a good starting O-lineman who only cost you a late fourth round pick.

And I love Linderbaum, I think he is a great prospect. But I don't expect him to last to our pick and he isn't worth trading up for. This is a great draft for us to just sit still and wait to see if a really good player falls.

The top of this draft is stacked with front 7 talent, there's almost no chance that there isn't a really good front 7 player there for us in the mid-20's, along with probably a few OL who could make sense if we don't re-sign Williams, as well as a couple solid safeties.

But I think front 7 will probably be the way to go.

Yeah I don't know who will be available yet or what will happen in free agency but I feel much better about this draft and not necessarily needing to target a position. I'd just play it cool and see if any studs start falling. We can remain really true to our draft board this year and with our pick falling in the late first that's a good thing.

I think it has been drilled into him not to run. I hope they can reverse that when is do or die time.
It was such a big part of his game prior to the injury. I don't think it was pounded into him or could have been. I honestly think he is still mentally not over his ankle and he will only run when he has no option.

I wouldn't be shocked if we let Williams, Gregory, Schultz, and/or Gallup go, don't replace them in free agency, and go into the draft with pretty big needs.

Williams can be replaced by Connor McGovern, I'm not too worried about that.

Gregory I would retain at all costs. We played without him a good part of this year and were ok but to me he takes this defense from good to great.

Schultz would suck but I'm still not pushing a first round TE and similarly Gallup. Again, it's so early but we usually do a good job of retaining great players we drafted. So my guess is if we want some of these guys back they will be back.

We have to at least keep 2 of them, I'd be shocked if we let 3 or even all 4 walk. If we re-sign Gregory, and let's just say Schultz, I don't think we'll have much trouble replacing the other two, especially since if we let Gallup walk I'd imagine we'll re-sign Wilson.

So we could wait on a WR and not necessarily take one in the first 2-3 rounds unless there was a great opportunity.

I don’t see that happening at all.
